Regain Your Focus In Prep For Summer

Summer holidays are right around the corner, typically including a busy schedule as plans arise and work comes to a pause.

 

This can be overwhelming and lead to burnout. What’s important is that you don’t lose sight in your goals. Enjoy added social occasions without it consuming your routine. 

 

So how do we stay focussed on day to day life? This is what the Tammy Fit team are doing to keep the motivation and excitement high. 

 

Printing off a calendar and stick it on your fridge or somewhere you often see it. Mark off the days you have a social event and allow yourself the grace of having fun. The remainder of those days add your workout days, do you have any goals? Write them down or to the side so you stay accountable. Each day you can mark that day complete. Visually seeing these days ticked off is a great way to keep motivation and excitement high as the days creep away. 

 

Fridge makeover, take some time to meal prep, buy yourself some cute containers and get your fridge looking healthy and aesthetic. Having food prepped will ensure you’re getting all your recommended nutrients and limit chances of reaching for something unhealthy as a quick snack. You’ll be surprised how much an aesthetic fridge can do for your motivation!

 

Freshen up your playlist, find songs that get you excited for summer. Have a song that reminds you of being outside in the sun, lounging around with friends and family? Add it. Or an artist from a summer festival you want to see, add them! Get the vibes high. You can check ours out here!

 

Reward yourself, this can come in multiple forms. Finished your gym sessions for the week? Hit the sauna or get a massage. Getting in your morning walk, grab a coffee or matcha. Stuck to your daily meal plan? Add on a small treat, our favourite is a square of Lindt 78% dark chocolate. Rich and satisfying, we pair ours with a peppermint tea to help digestion.

 

Get competitive, find a friend and hold each other accountable. Send each other photo’s of your meals, any recipes you love, your walk view, share your playlists, find motivational quotes and use it as a way to stay in touch and uplift each other. 

 

Have some spare time? Mood board what you want your summer to look like. How does this integrate into your current self? Want glowy skin, moisturise. Abs and a perky bum, workout. Try tying in your goals and get excited for the memories that are to come. Don’t put pressure on yourself, enjoy each day as it comes and if you slip up, get back on track.
